Sailrite's SnapRite® Eyelet Die is a uniquely designed die that holds an eyelet in place during installation in a cloth-to-cloth application. The eyelet fits securely in the grooves on the die. Works with any standard eyelet.

The SnapRite Eyelet Die is part of the SnapRite System that turns many standard rivet tools (we recommend the Professional Rivet Installation Tool, #103520) into a snap installation tool. The SnapRite System utilizes four unique dies that work in conjunction with each other to quickly and accurately install snap fasteners. This revolutionary system allows for installation on site, and works with DOT® snaps, Pull-the-DOT®, gypsy studs, and stainless steel snaps. The SnapRite system requires the use of SnapRite Buttons and SnapRite Gypsy Studs (for use with mandrel), over conventional parts that do not have an open hole all the way through them. Other components can be any type in Line 24 size (most common size where button top measures 5/8" diameter).

The SnapRite Eyelet Die is designed to be paired with the SnapRite Stud Die. To use, place a mandrel through the center of the Eyelet Die. Place a standard eyelet over the mandrel so it rests on the die. The rivet tool with the Stud Die attached and stud inset will go over the mandrel and rivet the stud to the eyelet with fabric in-between.

How the SnapRite® System Works with this Die

Male Components: The SnapRite Stud Die and snap component are installed on the rivet gun's nosepiece. The mating snap component is placed on the SnapRite Eyelet Die and a mandrel put through the center hole of the die. The rivet tool grabs onto the mandrel that has been pressed through the fabric, pulling the two SnapRite dies together and flaring the barrel of the the Eyelet to create a tightly installed snap fastener. This completed assembly is the male stud/eyelet. It can now be snapped to a button/socket female assembly.
