Sailrite® SnapRite® System (4 Dies & 100 Mandrels)
Sailrite® SnapRite® System is a unique new snap fastener system created by Matt Grant (Sailrite owner). The SnapRite System features a set of four dies that work with a standard rivet gun to install button, socket, stud and eyelet snap fastener components with more ease, speed and precision than ever before.
The color-coded dies work in pairs to install snap components on site for accurate positioning. The key to this system is the use of a SnapRite Mandrel and using snap components that have a hole down the center. The SnapRite System requires use of SnapRite Buttons and gypsy studs but installs all other standard snap components in a Ligne 24 size (most common size).
The SnapRite Dies work with any standard rivet gun, so buying a new rivet tool is unnecessary if you already have one. Dies screw into the rivet gun’s nosepiece and must be used with a SnapRite Mandrel (included). Position fasteners, punch the mandrel through the fabric assembly, and rivet the fasteners in place.
SnapRite System Includes:
- Button Die
- Socket Die
- Eyelet Die
- Stud Die
- 100 Mandrels - Stainless Steel
- Storage Pouch
Please Note: The Stud Die that comes in this kit is only intended to install cloth-to-cloth fasteners. Using the Stud Die to install surface studs will break the die. To install surface studs, use the Surface Mount Stud Die #103754 (sold separately).

Sairite SnapRite Die System

This is an excellent system. It's easy to use. Secures components in place in the dies during installation. Repeatability of quality installation is excellent. If user makes a mistake in the installation (orientation), the components are easily drilled out and removed to allow component installation in the proper orientation. I highly recommend this tool. It's fun to use, effective in it's application, and no other product for snap installation compares to the quality, and repeatability with so little effort as this tool.

Works for Tons of Projects

I debated purchasing this because it is a bit expensive. I finally did and it was well worth the investment. I purchased it with the full snap assortment package (104438), so I could do a variety of projects.
I used the screw stud bases to make front covers for two very large cabinets. It was so easy to line up the covers perfectly into the studs using the system. I made a cover for my propane tanks on our travel trailer using snaps for the closure. I also made curtains for the trailer, again using the screw stud bases and button snaps in the curtain header.
Once you have the system and an assortment of snaps, you'll find tons of uses for them. It is a high quality system, just like all of the Sailrite products (I own an Ultrafeed, too).

The System I've been Looking For
by Uncle Steve -
The Sailrite SnapRite snap fastener system: I have been working leather projects for decades and had never found a dependable snap fastener until coming across the Sailrite products. They have several choices and good products - I chose the SnapRite System. It did feel a little expensive, buying the dies, mandrels and snap components, but after setting the first snap I KNEW this was a good choice. After making just two repairs I more than paid for the for all the tools and materials and I have plenty of snaps still to use. Sailrite also has several video guides that can be accessed on YouTube that help us first timers through just about all of the questions or problems that usually come up. Great product, great idea, great service.
