Description
Spur grommets are not as strong as sewn rings, but they are much more quickly installed. Do not confuse these grommets with the common washer grommets that are sold in hardware stores everywhere. Spur grommets are of heavier metal with spurs all around the inside rim of the washer that lock into a rolled edge on the barrel part of the grommet. As a result, they will not easily pull out of the fabric.
Note: Spur grommets cannot be installed with common washer grommet tools. Use a #5 die with a #5 spur grommet.

I was impressed with the heavy gauge thickness of the material. It appears sturdy, I have not exposed the grommets to weather yet, but if they are as resistant to rust as they are sturdy, I will be well satisfied.
Very sturdy, right size for pulling 1/2 lines thru
These grommets are thicker than any other I have been able to source.
My umbrella spindle was a little large for the size but I made it work. Nobody seems to carry any size larger. Really needed 3/4".
I cut my holes with scissors and grommets still looked clean. Now to see how they hold up.
