Odyssey® is an acrylic-coated polyester cover fabric with a urethane coating on one side for water resistance. This 300 denier fabric has excellent strength, tear and abrasion resistance, dimensional stability, as well as UV and mildew resistance. It’s an economical choice for outdoor and marine covers!

Odyssey is a lightweight exterior marine-grade fabric recommended for boat covers, sail bags, sacrificial sail covers, weather cloths, outdoor/patio covers as well as RV/automotive protective covers.

Odyssey is also certified to meet the requirements for PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) gowns in healthcare facilities. Odyssey has passed Levels 1, 2 and 3 of ANSI/AAMI PB70:2012 Liquid Barrier Performance standards, which is recognized by the FDA. Level 3 medical gowns are appropriate for the widest range of surgical procedures, where moderate fluid protection is indicated.

There is a right and wrong side to Odyssey. This fabric has a coated side, which features a smooth texture and a slight reflective sheen that can be seen in the light. This side should not be exposed to the sun. This fabric also features a 3-year limited warranty to ensure its performance capabilities.

Note: The term denier refers to the fiber thickness of individual threads or filaments used in the creation of textiles and fabrics. Fabrics with a high denier count tend to be thick, sturdy and durable.

Perfect fabric for sunshades!

This fabric is just what I was looking for to make some sun shades for the back deck and bridge of my boat. I have ordered it several times now, because I keep coming up with other uses for it, like a hatch cover and a sunpad cover. It's easy to work with and the 64" width is a good size.

I purchased this fabric to make a cover for our F16 catamaran. It was easy to handle and sewed up nicely using my Ultrafeed LSZ-1. The cover is more light weight than our old one making it much easier to take on and off and to store when the boat is in use. It does require the use of a hot knife for cutting to prevent raveling.
