Top Notch® 9 is 100% solution-dyed polyester with a fluorocarbon finish, creating a fabric that is breathable, reversible and water-repellent. The solution-dyed polyester fabric won't fade and provides superior strength compared to other solution-dyed fabrics. Top Notch 9 provides strength, abrasion resistance, dimensional stability and UV resistance, making it ideal for most outdoor and marine environments. Due to the weave and finish of Top Notch 9, it is mildew resistant and does not noticeably shrink, stretch or sag.

In addition to being one of the best outdoor fabrics, Top Notch 9 fabric is easy to sew and maintain! Both sides of this marine fabric are the same, meaning that either side can be exposed to the outside. Top Notch 9 is perfect for marine awnings, dodgers, biminis, sacrificial sail covers, enclosures, sail covers, outdoor covers and more!

This is a great product, nice to work with. You should use a hot knife to cut the material. I'm currently using the extra to make small covers.

Perfect for a Bimini Top for our Craig Cat Boat

LOVE sewing Top Notch 9!

I just finished a sail cover and four sheet bags using this material. This material is the nicest material I’ve worked with. It stays flat, it sews like butter, it is easy to fold the edges for hemming, and the blue is deep and rich. I am a fan and will be using this again for other projects. I liked working with it so much that I ordered more of it to make a Bimini while I was still working on the sail cover!

Big fan of Top Notch fabric, love the Caribbean Blue color - among others

I discovered Top Notch fabric with my first Sailrite order - I needed trim strips for some mesh totes I was making. A Sailrite representative talked with me to understand my needs - it sounded good, so I ordered a yard in black. It was perfect, much better than the cotton duck I had tried before. It sews beautifully and looks expensive. Wonderful properties - water repellant, abrasion, mold, mildew & UV resistant. Absolutely perfect for my needs. I ordered a Fabric Color card, and the Caribbean Blue caught my eye for a special project. I've since expanded my stock to include Caribbean Blue, Cardinal Red and Taupe. They are all gorgeous colors, and the Caribbean Blue is a definite favorite - it is a beautiful blue. I blew through 2 yards and had to order more. They are solution dyed colors and won't fade. They make any project look great.
