This socket die is made for Line 24 snap fasteners and is used with a matching button die, eyelet die, or gypsy stud die. It’s typically used to install the female side of a snap. Most applications use a domed button top, but a flatter top can be achieved by using an eyelet-style snap component instead.

It can also be paired with a gypsy stud die to create “stacked” snaps, allowing multiple layers of material to fasten at the same location—useful in applications like marine canvas work. The flat edge on the socket receiver allows it to set both standard snap sockets and Pull-The-DOT® (one-way) sockets.

This die is a replacement part for HandySnap® and Pres-N-Snap® tools and is also compatible with the Sailrite® HandyPress®.

Note: Line 24 snap fasteners have a button diameter of approximately 5/8 inch.
