DOT® black stainless cloth-to-surface snap set: Type 304 hard-action socket, button and 3/8" stud. Wood or fiberglass.
Description
This DOT® Snap Fastener Cloth-to-Surface Set is a complete black stainless steel snap set for attaching cloth to wood or fiberglass. The Type 304 screw stud (#444120) uses a 3/8" #8-15 self-tapping Phillips-head screw to secure the stud to the surface. The 11/64" barrel button (#444780) rivets to the hard-action socket (#444055). The installed button and socket then snap to the installed stud.
Choose the 3/8" stud when the material is thinner or a longer screw would poke through. Choose the 5/8" stud (#444020 set) when you need more thread engagement or a deeper bite in thicker stock. Both use the same #8-15 self-tapping thread.
A hard-action socket takes more force to open than a normal-action socket. These marine snaps are highly corrosion-resistant and work well for covers, cushions, dodgers, and more.
